Heavenly Valley Townhouses

The units were clean and well cared for, and the staff were wonderful. The condos are a bit dated, but they're only 200 yards from Heavenly. I'd come back.

I won't be returning. Management wasn't flexible when I wanted to cancel a week ahead because of the heat wave and the lack of AC, and the townhouse was uncomfortable. The fans did little, beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom sink drained poorly, street noise from big construction trucks was loud, and the downstairs couches were old and uncomfortable. The carpet needs replacing, too. This is a very old, visibly unupdated property, with sparse rooms. The twin room had no wall decorations, closet doors, or TV. The only good points were that the hard floors, bathrooms, and linens were clean, and the rooms were spacious. Lack of AC in summer comes up in other reviews, so it seems they don't care much about guest comfort.

We're spending two weeks in Heavenly. The first is for my wife and me to settle in, and next we'll have friends and family over. There's room for everyone when we're skiing, the lifts are walkable, and we can make meals without needing restaurants. RCI award-winning HVT has all of that in spades, plus fresh air and views of the world's most beautiful lake. Karen, the general manager, deserves a special shout-out. My wife lost her purse on our travels before we got here, and it was found and shipped back. Since this is our longest stay, I sent it to HVT and coordinated with Karen, who went out of her way to make sure it was safely received. I stopped by early today to pick it up and did all the pre-check-in paperwork, so Karen only needs to text the check-in details. She's even putting the requested safe key in the unit. Great space, location, and staff. I'd give it a 10 if I could. GO. Thank you, Karen!

The weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The grounds were well maintained, with no pinecones or pine needles around. The units are updated, and the staff are very friendly. There's plenty of space for a large family getaway, a girls' retreat, or a small quilting group.
