We've been coming to ski here for about five years, always booking a one- or two-bedroom room. They're consistently nice and clean, and the full kitchens are handy. The heated pool, hot tubs, and great service are other pluses. The gondola is right next door, with ski valet so we don't have to carry our skis back to the room each day. The airporter shuttle stop is only a quarter mile away, and good restaurants and a Target with groceries are less than a block away.

Diego made Marriott’s Timber Lodge feel welcoming for my family. He greeted us when we arrived, explained the valet parking, and had a check-in cart ready, which made the arrival easy. He was also there at ski and snowboard check-in, always offering help with a smile. His hospitality went beyond what I expected, and we'll definitely return for our next Heavenly ski trip.

We've visited Marriott’s Timber Lodge in both summer and winter, and it has been a wonderful experience each time. The location beside the Heavenly Gondola puts shops, restaurants, and casinos within walking distance. Once we've parked, we usually don't need the car again, and there's plenty for families to do. The staff are reliably friendly and helpful, and the comfortable rooms are well maintained. If something comes up, they deal with it quickly. It feels like a home away from home, so we keep returning.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. The rooms were alright, and the pool and hot tub area was nice, but I didn't think the stay was worth the price. I'm a Titanium Bonvoy member, and my status felt useless here: no chance of a free room upgrade, no free breakfast or late checkout, and I couldn't use a nightly upgrade award. The 10 a.m. standard checkout was the earliest I've seen at a Marriott, and $45 for valet felt ridiculous given what we paid for the room. I'd stay elsewhere; the newer Hampton Inn down the street was nicer and, in my opinion, much better value.

Our fifth-floor two-room suite had a kitchen and a view of the gondola, and it was very nice. We stayed over Thanksgiving break, when only a small part of the mountain was open for skiing. There were lots of resort activities that looked good, but we had so much else to do in the middle of the hot spot that we didn't try any. In the thick of ski season, it would be perfect to ride the gondola straight to the mountain and head back to the room whenever you want. That seems easier than going back to a car at the ski lodge parking lot. We'll definitely return.
