The room was clean, the bed was great, and the staff were great too. But I picked this motel partly for breakfast, and there was no food at all, just coffee. The burgers next door are good, though.

The water smelled bad and was really harsh on my skin. It didn't feel clean, and the prices weren't what had been advertised. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you truly have no other choice. In my opinion, renting a van at a campsite could be a better option.

We paid $200 for two nights, and I wouldn't come back. The room looked nothing like the online pictures, which seem to be from years ago, and the hot tub water looked greenish. At the front desk, we felt like we were bothering the staff. The room itself was about as basic as it gets: the bathroom sink barely fits a contact lens case and hairbrush. The A/C switches itself off, so leaving the fan on is probably the best way to keep air moving.

Nancy made our stay, from helping at check-in to talking through whether this was the right place for us. I explained what we needed and mentioned other places I was considering, and she offered helpful ideas without pushing us. She was warm, professional, and the service was just great. We came to town for my husband's temporary job and needed somewhere nice but affordable. There are lots of choices along Lake Tahoe Blvd, but this is one of only two budget places I'd recommend. The rooms are nice, especially compared with some other options I looked at along the strip. We stayed two weeks, and the grounds were looked after daily. Room cleaning is available each day, the beds were clean and cozy, the carpet was clean, and the water pressure was good. Our kids loved the heated pool. There's also a grill and picnic table, and the other guests were quiet, which made it pleasant. It seemed like the property was selective about who it let stay, unlike some other places I'd seen. The location is great, as it is for the other hotels and motels on this block. You can walk, take a short scooter ride, or get a cheap Uber to activities including the lake, speed boats, fishing, casinos, and a grocery store. It was my first time in Lake Tahoe, and the scenery is stunning. Whether you're thinking of a vacation, destination wedding, or girls' trip, I'd say go for it. I highly recommend this place.

I paid $535 for a king room for two nights, and these were the worst accommodations I've ever seen. I should've read the reviews first. There wasn't a single place to hang clothes, not even one rod, shelf, or hook. That's especially odd in a ski town where you'd expect somewhere for wet gear. There was no luggage stand or coffee maker either. The king bed only had a flat sheet, too short to tuck in, instead of a fitted one. There was just one nightstand, so one person had nowhere for a phone, book, or drink. The blackout curtains had no sheer layer behind them for privacy when opened. And the sink was the smallest I've ever seen, so I had to put my bathroom travel kit on the back of the toilet.
