The bell hop made arrival and checkout so much easier. They’ll keep your luggage while you ski if the room isn’t ready, or after checkout, and help haul ski or snowboard gear to and from the room on a cart. It’s free, though they’re awesome and deserve a tip. The place has also been renovated and looks really nice, with comfortable beds. And the gondola is just a short walk away, which alone makes the location worth it.

We paid resort prices and found the pool, gym, and main floor casino all closed. The hotel was also under major construction, with dust, noise, and an unpleasant atmosphere that wasn’t made clear when booking. It doesn’t seem ready to host guests in this condition, and it’s wildly overpriced for what you get. Our room was beside the elevator. I asked the receptionist before checking in if we could switch because of the noise. She said she needed to speak to the manager, then came back with three earplugs as the solution. That felt ridiculous and insulting. The AC was another problem: setting it to 69°F didn’t help, as the centralized system I couldn’t control let the room climb to 78°F. It was hot and stuffy all night. I had an awful stay at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe and strongly recommend staying somewhere else. There are better options nearby that are open, functional, and reasonably priced.

The manager refunded our room, which I appreciated, but the explanation of the noise complaints was hard to accept. When I asked if they get many complaints, I was told, “There’s always that one couple,” even though the front desk had already acknowledged frequent complaints about the club noise. We left at 12:30 AM, after hours of trying to get help, and drove two hours home over the summit in the middle of the night. No guest should have to do that after booking a hotel. The suite itself was beautiful, modern, clean, and one of the nicest rooms we’ve stayed in. We also had a great dinner at the Sage Room, so the evening began well. Around 9:00 PM, pounding bass and drumming from a nearby nightclub started and continued nonstop. Even from the 10th floor of 12, it sounded like it was inside our room. We contacted security around 10:00 PM and were told it would probably stop around 11:30 to 11:45. It didn’t. On a later call we got conflicting accounts of where the sound came from and changing estimates, with no fix. By 12:30 we had to check out. Lovely room, but don’t stay here if you want to sleep.

Kathy Paresa, the VIP Coordinator, made us feel so cared for with thoughtful details that made the celebration memorable. Juan also went above and beyond, Gary the chauffeur was friendly and professional and made getting around easy, and Matias gave us such a warm welcome at check-in. The housekeeping team kept everything immaculate and comfortable, though I wish I could remember all their names. We had an amazing Valentine’s Day and birthday celebration at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe. Reflections Spa was a highlight, and the massage was exactly what we needed to relax. Thank you for making the holiday and my husband’s birthday unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

My hotel stay was good, and once the renovations are finished I think CR could be a great place to stay and play. In January 2026, though, extensive work was going on across the main Casino Floor, so I went across the street to play. If you have players rewards, remember to claim them at a kiosk in the casino where you want to play. It’s probably the best of the big resorts in South Lake, but I really resent being charged for parking when I book a room if I’m not a high-level rewards member. Come on, Ceasars, shouldn’t parking be free when I’m paying for a room?
