La Copa Inn Resort

The beach area was lovely and very clean, and we enjoyed the warm pool. The kids' area, though, was very cold. Our first room wasn't what we expected: the bed was dirty and the bathroom door wouldn't shut. When we asked to switch, we were told the only choice was to pay more for an ocean-view upgrade, which I wasn't happy about. The second room was nicer, but my child was hurt by the jet tub through no fault of her own. The staff were nice. The hotel is older and being updated. In the end, we had a nice stay.

We had a great time and will definitely return. Our room had an extra-large balcony, which we loved, and the beach is right there. The pool, hot tub, and splash area for little kids were all great. Don't skip breakfast, especially the homemade breakfast burritos, they were amazing. The food was good, though the kitchen closed early each night once it got quiet, so check with them if you're planning a late meal. There are plenty of other places to eat, including some within walking distance for the whole family.

I've made a post-Labor Day trip to LA COPA a tradition for the past five years, and it's become the highlight of my year. With the kids back in school, it's peaceful, and the prices are much more affordable. The beach is just a one-minute walk away, and my room was spectacular this year, as it has been before. The quality and comfort have always impressed me. The service is what keeps bringing me back: front desk staff and housekeeping are friendly and attentive, and this year was no different. I have no complaints. It's a relaxing, affordable getaway with excellent service, and I'm already looking forward to returning.

The rooms are large and well equipped, with queen beds in the two-bedroom units, a small coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, plenty of towels, toiletries, and an iron and board. The hotel is clean and very well kept. There are no bellboys, but plenty of luggage racks. We liked the heated pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, and the walkway to the beach, with showers to rinse off the sand. Beach towels are provided too. There's a snack bar that makes mixed drinks, plus a Starbucks, small bakery area, and gift shop. Breakfast is free, good, and served 7-10am. Housekeeping comes every other day. They offer winter weekly and monthly rates. We'd stay again and plan to come back.
