The pool area was rusty and rotted, and the hot tub had toilet paper floating in it. We’re hoping we don’t smell like the room on our flight home. It smelled like a wet, musty towel, and the wall art was missing, with obvious water damage that may have caused the odor. The king bed was springy and had only four tiny throw pillow sized pillows. The bathtub plug wouldn’t stay open. Shampoo and soap were across the bathroom by the sink, and the towels didn’t match. The lawn looked like it hadn’t been manicured in months. When we left, three staff members were chatting and didn’t move aside or wish us a good day. We wouldn’t stay again and don’t recommend it. We’d looked up directions and saw the Hilton was marked closed, which made us panic a little. We called, and they assured us our reservation was still there and said they could check on an earlier check-in.

We like coming here for an overnight getaway so our son can swim. The pool area had rust all over it, unfortunately, and the pillows are awful. Still, it’s a nice little hotel otherwise. I’m looking forward to seeing what the renovations look like.

The location was convenient, with parking, a calm setting, and plenty of grassy space for pets. The price also fit what we needed. The people working here were sincere and easy to talk to. Even while handling booking calls back to back, they treated us warmly and with respect. After the runaround and holier-than-thou attitude I got from other big brand hotels, I think I’ll stick with this place. As a local, this was the best experience I’ve had, and I hope to keep booking here.

The room was old, but very clean and fresh, and the pool was warm with a spa. The staff were incredibly nice, even after we lost our key cards twice. Parking was close, and the location was perfect. It was a deal, with a great price and free breakfast. We spent three days here recently, and it felt like a hidden gem. Don’t let the low stars put you off. Book it, you won’t regret it!
