Days Inn by Wyndham Williamsport

There was grime under the covers, and no towels in the room. At 4:00 a.m., we were told we'd have to go down to the front desk ourselves if we wanted towels. They say they're pet-friendly, but gave us what felt like the worst room just because we brought our pet. We needed a few hours of sleep before getting back on the road, and instead got the worst hotel experience we've ever had. Some stay.

I've stayed here several times over the past few years and will come back. The staff I've dealt with have been friendly and helpful, though don't expect daily housekeeping, especially on weekends. It's a Budget motel, not a 5-star hotel, and that works for me. My room was clean and quiet. The place is old, with some updates like paint and LVT floors, which are much cleaner than carpet. The mattress should've been replaced a long time ago, and the heater and cooling unit are loud and work inefficiently because of the furniture placement. The location suits me, though it won't suit everyone. It's not walkable, and you have to go there intentionally, so break-ins to your vehicle seem unlikely. There's no restaurant in the building, and since it's on a busy road, you'll probably need to drive for food or a drink.

The remodeling looks dated, with poor workmanship and low-quality materials. Breakfast was free, but horrible. I usually prefer a hotel over an Air B&B since they're generally better, but in this case Air B&B would have been the better choice.

It was cheap, which is why I picked it while passing through. Still, next time I might spend more for somewhere more comfortable and up to date. The place felt clean, but the hallways smelled like marijuana even though the rooms are smoke-free. It's worn down, and there are whole spots the paint doesn't cover. There was a hole in the sink faucet, and the shower's cold water handle wouldn't turn on at all. Breakfast was pretty limited, just waffles, cereal and milk, and pastries. I'm allergic to all of those, so I only had coffee.
