It was okay for the price, but the cleaning needs more attention, especially sanitation and the carpets. There were obvious stains and sticky patches on the carpet, plus splash marks on the wall. The room smelled stale, which seemed connected to things not being cleaned thoroughly. Towels and sheets were fresh and surfaces had been wiped, so they did fine with the basic cleaning but not the deeper work.

A handy place to stay in metro Detroit, with nice staff, a good breakfast, and a pleasant room. The carpets and furniture are extremely worn and stained everywhere, though. I’d strongly recommend steam-cleaning the carpets and replacing the furniture. Please put the time and money into it, since those issues seem to be behind many of the complaints.

I booked a suite for my birthday weekend and really liked the place. The bed was comfortable, and the pull-out couch was useful for extra guests. The ice machine worked well and was an easy walk away, and the elevator was in good shape and easy to find. I didn’t like that the bathroom had only a shower, no tub, and there was no toothpaste or mouthwash, so I had to go get some. Otherwise, I’d stay again and plan to return in the near future.

I picked this hotel because it was near my office, and the staff were kind and helpful when I needed to switch rooms. The first room was 80 degrees, so I went downstairs and got moved. The second was 75, but I was too tired to go back down again. The AC barely blew cool air and made little difference, so I cracked the window to cool the room enough to sleep. I’d closed all the curtains while I was out, but the temperature still rose, and I opened the window again the second night. The bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable, though I slept with just a sheet because of the heat. The mini fridge worked well, and the outlets by the bed held plugs firmly.
