Quality Inn

My sister booked this through booking.com, and the room was disgusting: stains on the sheets, walls, and curtains, plus nut shells and other rubbish in the laundry bin. We asked for a refund, but management said they could only move us to another room. They stalled until we’d been there an hour, so we’d only qualify for a one-day refund. The manager was rude and got an attitude with me, then denied it. We will not be back.

The staff were very nice, and breakfast was about what you'd normally expect. The bedding was clean, though only one bed had a comforter. Still, we were only there for 16 hours and the overflowing hallway garbage stayed that way the whole time. The working elevator was loud and scary. Floors were sticky, the toilet kept running, and there were cobwebs in a corner and chipped paint. There’s no pool at this location, despite the pool in the photos. Signs said no smoking throughout the building, but people were definitely smoking on the second floor. The different smells came into our room, especially when the AC started. Maybe it'd be worth it if the room were much cheaper. Spend a few dollars more and go down the road.

We finally got moved to another room the next day, after three different people had to understand that we needed heat and hot water. We checked out the day after that. Breakfast was basically Great Value products. Please don’t waste your money here. My best friend checked in using her points, so we only paid the deposit. We’d driven almost five hours from South Side Chicago, and the room had no working heat or hot water. The front desk refused to change our room at first. An Indian man followed us back to it, ran the tub for 15 minutes, and said the hot water was on. It was lukewarm, and I wanted a shower, not a bath. The Indian woman at the desk didn’t understand either. I stayed February 17th-20th. The hotel is very outdated, and the parking lot was full of trash, which should have been my first red flag. I was highly disappointed and will never return.

I checked in and left right away. The room was filthy, to put it mildly. Dried blood from the previous guest was running down the front of the toilet. It hadn't been cleaned before I arrived: there were handprints on the door casings, thick sticky grime on the light switches, and pink mold growing in the shower corners, suggesting it hadn't been disinfected properly. Tape was holding the TV remote together so its batteries wouldn't fall out. I'll attach as many photos as possible to show the room's condition. This was the worst hotel I've ever checked into. Don't stay here!
