The room was quiet, in good condition, and everything worked. There were plenty of places to charge devices, and the bed was fairly comfortable, though every pillow was too squishy. The hotel was bright, modern, and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly. It met my expectations and then some. I’d stay again and recommend it.

We came from Tennessee to visit my daughter, who recently moved to Gaffney, and stayed here this past weekend. The hotel was about 35 minutes from her, which I hadn’t realized when booking, but I’m glad we chose it. The whole place and our room were clean, and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping greeted us and asked how we were doing. I slept so well because it was completely quiet, even in such a busy area. Breakfast was wonderful, and the attendant did a great job. We travel a lot, and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in. I think we’ll make it our place to stay when visiting.

Our vehicle and six others had their windows smashed and belongings stolen overnight. Prior reviews make it sound like this has happened before. We had to pay $600 for a window repair, and it would have been nice if the hotel had taken something off our bill. They gave a few people trash bags and tape to cover broken windows, then ran out and had no other solution. The rooms were nice, but parking in front is probably best if you stay, even though there are very few spaces there.

The art around the rooms nods to Spartanburg’s textile mill history, a nice touch, and the hotel looks great after an apparent 2024 renovation. My three-night stay was good. The room was updated and had a very nice shower. With a quick call to IT, I got my Xbox connected to the TV and the hotel WiFi. The front desk gave me the number at check-in, and premium internet for $4.95 a night meant no lag while gaming. Breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn, mediocre at best. Front desk staff ranged from cold and indifferent to warm and friendly.

After we checked out, the staff called to say my daughter had left her iPad behind. I really appreciated their honesty, thoughtfulness, and quick heads-up. We stayed one night at Hampton Inn Spartanburg, and the hotel was clean and comfortable with staff who went above and beyond. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting friendly service and peace of mind while traveling.
