The hotel was clean throughout, and the staff were friendly. Those were easily its strongest points. The rooms are small, though, with limited amenities and a poor breakfast selection. It felt like a basic stop on the way somewhere, more dorm room than home away from home. My family tried a Tru Hilton for the first time and decided we wouldn’t choose another one, since it doesn’t have the accommodations or amenities we want when traveling. Having to bring hot food upstairs to eat in the room was frustrating, and there wasn’t an ice bucket or an ice machine on every floor.

The morning staff were lovely, but our evening check-in was awful. The blonde lady at the desk was very rude, didn’t greet us with a smile, and said, “What do you want?” We even used different entrances so we wouldn’t have to deal with her again. Someone needs to talk to her very sternly.

Thanks to Robert and everyone on staff, our dance competition weekend was a little less hectic, lol. We’re saving this place for our next competition in Spartanburg. I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a clean, comfortable, welcoming, affordable, and very convenient stay.

The front desk staff were consistently cordial and accommodating, and the customer service was great. The room was the problem. I’d seen a comment about mold in the air conditioner, so I checked mine when I arrived and found mold there too. I didn’t even run it, but whenever I was in the room my nose ran constantly, and I got immediate headaches and phlegm. I put up with it for one night, but wouldn’t recommend staying here longer.

We arrived around 11 pm for a quick overnight stop and got friendly, speedy service at the front desk. The bright, fun-looking lobby made me wish we had more time to sit there. Our room was very clean and laid out with care, with a strong shower and a proper hairdryer. Breakfast had plenty to eat and a nice variety. I’d definitely stay again.
