They warned us to arrive hungry for breakfast, and they were right. It was generous and really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was made up each day, apparently while we were eating, since it was always done when we got back. There are bikes, beach towels, chairs, and passes available for guests, too. The Victorian house is full of period details, from the antique furniture and paintings to the wall treatments. There are around 20 rooms, with good-sized ones for two and larger options for families. My one frustration was parking: there are only nine spaces on the property, so overflow parking is two blocks away on Ocean Avenue. Walking back in the rain wasn't much fun. Still, I'd certainly stay again.

The porch was lovely at night, and the area around the inn is great. Inside, the Victorian style and antiques give it a charming, time-travel feel, and our vintage-style suite was wonderfully clean. Breakfast was delicious, and the cookies and raspberry squares were outstanding. The host and staff were wonderful. Don't miss this place.

The food was my one letdown. The pancakes were bland, and on another morning the poached eggs were runny while the potatoes and sausages were salty and overcooked. The coffee was weak too. The room itself was spotless, and the house felt warm and charming. The location was perfect.

The bed wasn't comfortable for me, though that's down to personal taste, and the room was old, as expected. The service was nice, breakfast was excellent, and both the area and locals were great. Good location. I'd suggest it to anyone who likes old-fashioned decor.

The breakfast here beats anything else I found in the area. The Normandy made for a lovely weekend getaway, with the beach close by and free beach access, chairs, and blankets. They also have bikes for a morning ride. A very nice inn, open all year, and one I'd definitely recommend.
