The host and managers are amazing people, and the hospitality I received was unmatched. They even gave me tips on where to go and what might be available. I planned to settle in for mushroom season and use the hotel as a base camp. In my opinion, it’s one of the best locations for reaching a lot of foraging ground. If you want a resort where you spend all day on-site, stay in Phoenix. If you’re active and looking for adventure, beautiful country, and solitude in the forest, WMH is the choice. Cheers, guys. Bravo.

The manager was really nice and responsive. The place was clean and quiet, and plenty of places are within walking distance if you fancy a stroll. Great price too. I’ll definitely stay again.

The room was okay, a basic motel setup with a bed, bath, TV, and microwave. The owners were a little rude at check-in, then came knocking on my door three times in the morning before check-out. It woke me up and upset me. When I called to complain at checkout, the owner just wanted to argue. Terrible customer service.

The room smelled bad, and the carpet was dirty, with dust buildup visible by the dresser. There was a lamp on the end table but nowhere to plug it in. The bathroom outlets didn’t work, so I couldn’t curl my hair there. The price was cheap, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Don’t be fooled by the pictures.

It’s a very quiet place, and the AC was quite modern. The bed was okay, but the pillows were bad. The Wi-Fi felt like it was from the 80s, and we had to call the front desk to get hot water. Apparently the hotel sets an amount of hot water for each room, and once you use that allocation, it shuts off. It’ll do as a last resort, but I wouldn’t stay again.
