The room was clean and thoughtfully laid out, and I’d happily stay here again. What stood out most was the staff. At check-in, the receptionist was attentive and available, and at breakfast the kitchen staff introduced themselves, politely gathered plates, and looked after the dining room even though it was self-serve. Shout-out to Dawn. It’s a cute hotel with remarkably friendly people.

We only checked in at 4 and left early the next morning, but I slept better than I ever have on a mattress, even with both my husband and me having awful back and neck problems. The room was clean, the pool area relaxing, and breakfast was really good. The hot tub was the one letdown. The center jets worked almost too well, shooting bubbles right into your face, while there were no jets along the back. Otherwise, it was a comfortable, very nice stay. I’d come back, though the hot tub needs fixing so we can enjoy it.

We barely had time to use the hotel since we arrived late and left early during an 11-hour drive. It’s about 10 minutes off the highway, which may put us off when we’re just passing through. Still, Sabrina, if I’ve got her name right, and the other front desk staff were so welcoming, upbeat, and accommodating that the detour felt worthwhile. The hotel is cute, with a cozy, clean pool and hot tub area that’s a welcome break after travel. The gym is small but has good equipment. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was in good shape. The carpet could use a shampoo, though nothing was seriously wrong. If you’re going to nearby activities, I’d recommend it. The front desk staff deserve a lot of credit.

The breakfast was good, and there’s a pool near the front desk plus a small fitness room open around the clock. The staff were nice and the location is good, though the rooms are small. Ours was clean, and the bed had a cushion top, but felt springier than I prefer. For a basic hotel the accommodations are decent, as long as you don’t expect much. Watch out for the unpriced snacks at the front: Bass chocolate pretzels could cost over $20 per pound, and they only let you charge them to your room. The vending machine doesn’t accept cards, was awkward with cash, and there’s no change machine nearby. I’d stay again if it were discounted compared with other local hotels.
