Beachcomber Cottages on Vilano

Great location, and the beds and pillows are the most comfortable I’ve had in any rental or hotel.

The Sandpiper Suite is in a wonderfully quiet spot right on the beach, with private access, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We did find some sand in the bed and hair in the shower, and the water pressure was extremely low. The amenities are a little older, too. It was a lovely stay overall, but at this price I’d probably book somewhere that felt like better value.

We had a very comfortable unit, with great AC through all that heat, and liked having the chairs and umbrellas included so we didn’t need to pack them. The breakfast basket was enough to get us started before heading to the beach. We were staying in the Dunes suite for our honeymoon, and wanted to avoid parking garages, elevators, and people running around. The lower patio is nice, though you’re among the dunes, so bring bug repellent because the mosquitoes will find you. During turtle season, remember you have to keep the blinds closed at night. The staff were very friendly. We’ll return, and might try another room for a different feel.

The room was nice, though not gorgeous, and the shower was very nice. Breakfast was brought each morning, a kind gesture that helped get the day going, though honestly it was a little below par. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We spent three nights here over a long weekend, and it felt like a real vacation. Unit 93 has unsurpassed privacy and location, with a very short walk to the beach, a fabulous sundeck, and a nice porch. We’ll be back!
