Casablanca Inn on the Bay

The complimentary martinis and breakfast were a real highlight, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Still, we were disappointed by Room #4 and the areas around it at Casablanca Inn in St. Augustine. The room felt cramped, the bed creaked and was uncomfortable, and the sunroom walls had cracks where light came through. There were also cracks in the bathroom tile, damaged grout, and red marks on the tile. Outside, the attached patio was in disrepair with garbage around, and the restaurant's outdoor area needs maintenance, repairs, and fresh paint. One evening, as we came back, we saw a man leaving the restaurant urinating near our room. It was very unsettling. Without the breakfast, martinis, and kind staff, we probably would have asked to leave early.

The shower had mold and really needs to be redone, but everything else about this beautiful bed and breakfast was great. It's right in the middle of everything, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The martinis were the best I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The location makes it easy to walk to anything we want to see or do, and this inn has become our go-to whenever we visit St Augustine. We're lucky to be only a few hours away. Every staff member we've met has been friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms are beautiful, with modern amenities that surprised us in an inn this old. The mattresses and linens feel new and are so comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless. WiFi and TV are great too. We also love the free daily drink, whether a martini or something else, and breakfast is made fresh to order.

The breakfast was included in the price and was excellent, and the bar drinks were smooth. Parking was a bit of a walk from the hotel, but it was a pleasant one and parking was included too, which you don't often get at premium hotels. The rooms were clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in through checkout. This may be the best place I've ever stayed.
