The place wasn’t all bad, but it wasn’t a great experience. The outside of the hotel wasn’t horrible, and neither was the room once we got in. The room was late, though, and the parking lot was dark and sketchy. When we first arrived an hour early, I just wanted to ask whether the room was ready. The woman wouldn’t even check, and kept repeating that check-in was at 3. During our stay, the faucet under the sink sprayed water onto the floor and our feet whenever it was on. The tub faucet leaked too, and the coffee maker was completely broken, with water pouring out of the bottom. There was something sticky on the sink faucet when we arrived. The plugs for the air and hair dryer had to be reset or they wouldn’t work, and there were small roaches in the bathroom at night. The staff weren’t friendly.

It’s walkable to Nights of Lights, but bring Raid if you stay here. I spent $170 for one night with my family and found roaches in our room late at night. The beds were hard and squeaky, and the customer service was dismissive. When I reported the bugs and asked for a discount, the staff member just said she’d leave a note for the manager. There was no apology or concern. From her reaction, it seemed this wasn’t the first time she’d heard this complaint. I asked the front desk for the hotel’s email so I could send a photo of the roach. General manager Nempha replied that they could “guarantee” there were no insects in the rooms because of routine pest control, despite the photo and several recent reviews from other guests reporting the same issue. I asked for a refund or some compensation and haven’t heard back. I attached a screenshot of Nempha’s email, my response, and several online reviews along with her replies, even though she insists she can “guarantee” there are no pests. When other guests mention roaches, Nempha responds with phrases like “please reach out to us directly so we can address this properly” or “we take reports like yours very seriously.” But when I reported them and asked for a discount, I was told, “I can guarantee you that there are no insects in your room.” My complaint and most of those online reviews were posted within the same week, some just days apart. Between the bugs, uncomfortable beds, lack of accountability, and poor service, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Save your money and go somewhere that cares about cleanliness and its guests.

We come back every year for Night of Lights, and the location is great. We asked to be near the dog area since our small dogs don’t have big bladders. We ate a Village Inn. It’s outdated, but very clean. Our only problem was the refrigerator not working. They inspected it quickly and brought us a replacement, and the microwave worked fine. Staying here saved us so much that I brought my brother along, and he got his own room. No issues with bugs, and at this price, where else are you going to find a place with no bugs? We’d stay again.

The room was a decent size for two couples, but I felt uncomfortable and unhappy with the stay. The bathroom hadn’t been fully cleaned: there was dental floss by the sink, roaches, and bits of hair in the tub. When we checked in on Friday 12/19/25, the front desk woman spoke so quietly it felt like she didn’t want to help or be at work. She should greet guests and speak louder.
