Economy Inn

For the price, this older motel is hard to beat. The room was clean and well kept, and Old Town was about a pleasant, scenic 10-minute walk away. We got a friendly welcome, a map, and information about inexpensive shuttles. I’d stay again.

We were very pleased with the reasonable room price and the convenient spot near the Old City and its activity. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. Our linens were white and clean, the AC worked well, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. A very nice stay.

From the outside, the Economy Inn doesn’t look like much, but inside it was a little diamond in the rough. We were pleasantly surprised. Laura at the front desk was lovely and suggested several things to see and do. Our remodeled room was one of the largest, she said, and we could see The Great Cross from the window. The first picture is from the 60s; they updated the inside but kept the outside because it’s a historic building. For a December visit, the rate was very reasonable at $121 a night with tax and fees, and the historic area was within walking distance. St George Street was about 10 minutes away, with an ice cream shop, small antique and tourist shops, and a convenience store nearby. The beds were comfortable, the shower pressure was amazing, and it was peaceful despite being by the road. Sharing this in case you’re considering a visit!

A clean, comfortable, modest hotel with friendly staff, free safe parking, and a reasonable price. Our room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a nice TV, and a decent cable package. The bed was comfortable too. The location was very convenient for walking to the Castille, Visitors Center, and many historic sites. There’s a scooter rental vendor next door and a McDonalds one block west on Hope Street and US1 for fast food. We had a nice visit and plan to come back. Thanks!
