I can't relax at home anymore. The noise carries so clearly that I hear full conversations, from questions about bacon or towels to screaming from children and adults. It's happening day and night, and weekend rentals have taken away my sense of peace, safety, and security. It makes me want to leave the island, and I hate living here because of houses like this. Now I need fans, music, white noise, and earplugs just to sleep in my own home. I can't enjoy being here at any time of year. I don't understand how the city, travel agencies, and owners can be comfortable with whole houses full of loud guests disturbing the neighborhood and people's mental wellbeing. I'm sure they sleep fine. How would you feel if the noise never stopped inside your home?
