Ocean Village Club by Vtrips

The staff in the office are always kind and helpful, and Jackie is especially ready to assist both guests and owners. It’s about a five-minute drive to downtown St Augustine, with lots of restaurants and coffee shops along the strip. The condo complex is well maintained, the beach is amazing, and the pools are nice. Having one heated pool is a great option.

The kids had such a good time here during our sabbatical 😊 The condo had everything, and the location at St Augustine Beach was wonderful. Absolutely lovely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The first thing we ran into was a huge black widow spider between the storm door and the front door. We eventually killed it and cleared the web. The office only said, “You’re at the beach...” We rented unit O 11, and it was very poorly furnished. There were no potholders, and the coffee maker was cheap with no timer or automatic shutoff. The floors were filthy enough that our bare feet turned black. We asked the maid to come back and mop, and the front porch and patio hadn’t been swept either. The floor stayed sandy, so we vacuumed and swept several times. The furniture was very dated and worn, the TV was small with limited cable channels, and the kitchen chairs wobbled. There was no shower door, just curtains with hooks that kept breaking. Half the vertical blinds worked. In the master bath, the sink was missing its aerator and the faucet handles came off because they weren’t screwed on. The master mattress was okay, and there were ceiling fans in every room. The dryer made a horrible squeal and maintenance had to fix it. There was no ice maker. The list goes on.

From the beach, you can catch both sunrises and sunsets, and the private access opens onto beautiful Crescent Beach. Ocean Village Club is a pleasant gated community with well-kept grounds, classic palms, and other tropical plants. It has two pools, tennis courts, BBQs and picnic tables, a small gym, and even a car wash station. These photos are of D36, managed by VTrips.
