We loved relaxing at The Snug, a cozy little place for a drink before dinner or to unwind after sightseeing. The inn is in a great spot, tucked into a quiet neighborhood while still being part of the old town. Everyone was warm and helpful, and they made us feel like family. The food was excellent, too. We had a fabulous time, and I’d recommend it for adults and kids alike.
The inn is close enough to walk to downtown and St. George Street, yet the grounds feel peaceful. We especially liked sitting on the shady patio. Our Cottage was roomy, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and being right beside the pool was so convenient. After long walks around St. Augustine, the heated pool was a welcome way to relax. Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the social hour snacks and drinks were a nice extra. There’s history and character everywhere, with original buildings dating to 1791. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and friendly throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely come back.
We had a lot of fun on Jennifer's ghost tour. She was both informative and entertaining, and we spent quite a while at the pool talking over everything we’d experienced. Lily's Room had some pretty spooky moments. My sister felt her braids being touched and her wristlet flicked, and there were a few sounds in the bathroom. I felt a heavy presence by the sink, then later in bed, where it was like being hugged tightly. The inn itself is charming, and the staff were so kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thanks for the memories!
The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the inn is ideally placed in a quieter part of town with historic St Augustine still within walking distance. We had a great stay and are already looking forward to returning. There were lots of thoughtful extras: cream sherry in the room, generous tasty breakfasts, happy hour drinks and snacks, and fresh desserts each night. The free passes to the lighthouse museum were another great value.
The cottage was just right for me, with a comfy bed, a big clawfoot tub, and a fireplace. The property is gorgeous and soothing, set in a quiet little area just steps from the busy historic district. I loved the amenities, from breakfast and social hour to the snacks, desserts, cream sherry, courtyard, and heated pool. The staff were my favorite part. They were friendly, helpful, and fun, and took time to chat with me when I was traveling solo and wanted company around the hotel. Houdini the cat was a delight, and their rosè is SO good. I loved the whole experience and highly recommend staying here. Thanks ladies for your hospitality!
