Quality Inn St. Augustine Outlet Mall

The pet-friendly place I keep coming back to when I'm in St. Augustine with my pup. It's affordable, clean, and just a few minutes by car from historic downtown. The staff are always really nice and accommodating. The room does smell like pet shampoo, but you get used to it.

We had two rooms for our family. One had a TV that didn't work right and smelled a bit; the other had a strong cleaner smell. The rooms were fine otherwise, and the price is low for the area, so I'd stay again. Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly, especially Bhutimi at the front desk.

The employees were friendly, and I liked being close to some nice restaurants. At night, though, there were lots of homeless people walking around, so be aware of your surroundings. We drove or took a cab everywhere and were fine. My main problem was the man smoking outside the room next door. Since the rooms face the parking lot, the smoke came into my room, and I could smell it again at night. I wondered if he was smoking in the room or bed. I kept sneezing and had a headache and runny nose. Not a great stay.

My husband already had two of his workers staying there while they were working in the city, and tried to book another night or more for them. The woman at the front desk was completely unhelpful and showed no courtesy while he was trying to arrange the extra nights for his employees. He decided not to spend his money at a hotel that didn't seem interested in providing nice service. This was today, December 16, at 1:30 pm. The next guest got the same treatment. When he said he had a reservation, she replied that it didn't matter because that wasn't how they worked.
