We only booked one night, which was a mistake. I could’ve happily spent a whole week there. The room was quiet, clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Even the bedding wasn’t bleached to hell. They upgraded us to a balcony, walked us through the welcome book, and laughed at my bad jokes. We arrived almost too late, but they were still friendly and funny without hovering. There’s a handy spot out front to park, unload, and check in, then they show you around, including the elevator. The book’s sections on activities, restaurants, and attractions were easy to follow, with time, cost, and parking info. The room was thoughtfully arranged with comfortable upholstery and furniture that didn’t squeak. The accessible bathroom was stylish and well considered. The shower isn’t quite roll-in, but the ledge is small and there’s a full bench, plus grab bars placed discreetly around the room. I have a condition that can sometimes be disabling, and I felt good about supporting them. Breakfast was delicious and fairly priced, and the coffee was smooth and tasty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious. It’s a cozy, old hotel that feels like stepping back in time, right at the beginning of a main pedestrian street, so it’s easy to walk everywhere. Some updates would help: the bed was comfortable but noisy, and the TV was old and not smart. We still had a good time. We paid around $400 a night because it was Christmas and there weren’t many choices. On other dates, you can get it for half that.

We’ve stayed here more than once, and this is our favorite place to stay in St Augustine. The location is ideal for exploring St George street, with most places we want to see only a short walk away. The staff are among the best I’ve seen: courteous and professional, and always going the extra step to make us feel at home. The spacious rooms have super comfortable beds, and most offer a bird’s-eye view of St George St or the sights. It’s right by the old city gates and public parking, and there’s a great wine selection. A must stay, and I definitely recommend the Inn.

We’ve stayed here several times over the holidays and love the balcony overlooking St. George Inn. The balcony rooms are pricey, though. The shower is amazing, the room is clean, and it’s a nice historic hotel within walking distance of most things we want to see. We even like that they still give you an actual room key. The loading zone out front is handy, and parking is really close. There are a few things we’d change to make the stay better. A larger flat screen mounted across from the bed would be better than the existing one, and they could get rid of the bulky entertainment center and add a small sofa. The pedestal sink doesn’t leave enough space for two people to get ready, and there’s no full-length mirror. A refrigerator is provided, but for that price they should include a couple of complimentary water bottles. We spent over $500 on the room, parking, meat, and cheese on a Tuesday night the week before Christmas.

The rooms had been renovated, were clean, and ours even had a balcony. I loved the old-fashioned feel of the hotel, too. A young man at the front desk, kind and with tattoos on his legs, helped us to our room and parked the car. I didn't get his name, but he went out of his way for us and I'm really grateful. One thing to plan for if you have toddlers: weekends can get pretty rowdy outside, so there's some noise. That's not the hotel's fault, but a sound machine might help. Otherwise, the service was amazing.
