The Conch House Marina Resort

We’ve been to the Conch House Marina four or five times and keep coming back for its vibe. The dockside bar is great and often has live music. This last time we stayed in the motel for the first time, and it felt well worth the money. Our cottage was clean and roomy, with updated decor and a modern bathroom.

We love this place! The front office and Marina office staff are always so friendly. We often bring our boat up from Daytona and stay overnight, and every visit has gone well. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.

The view is about all this place has going for it. We waited a long time for a table to be cleaned, then never got our appetizer. Staff later called it a side, but it didn’t arrive with the food either. The chicken was advertised as a full chicken, but the portion looked more like half or a quarter of a breast. My girlfriend didn’t like her dish, either, and the food was just horrible. Our waitress was okay, but rarely came by, and never returned to see whether we needed anything or how the meal was. When we went to find the manager, he was rude and said we’d had too much to drink, even though we’d been waiting an hour on a Saturday night at a place that serves alcohol. They tried to charge us for half of her dish after she’d only had one taste, and we had to insist they remove it from the bill. She then said we were rude for voicing our opinion. We wouldn’t have complained if the food and service had been good, or if the waitress had brought the meal to our table. Most of the staff seemed very young, unfriendly, and flat in how they spoke to us. I strongly recommend not eating here. Go for a drink on the dock, then eat somewhere else. We went to another restaurant right after and had a quick, wonderful dinner with an even better view.

They called the police, and I was trespassed after standing up for my right to enter a public place with my service animal. I believe they discriminated against me because of my disability and violated my civil rights, as well as federal and state ADA laws.
