Cindy offered to move us after I reported the musty smell, which was great customer service. The only odor-free room available had two queen beds instead of a king, so we stayed where we were. The room was okay but could use a remodel, and the smell was my biggest complaint. I suspect moisture may be getting in because daylight shows under the door. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were kind of lame. The pool was nice, not too chlorinated or crowded, and town is an easy walk away. They also texted soon after check-in to ask how things were going, a really nice touch. Decent value, but it definitely has a motel vibe. I'd give it three stars, with an extra one for the good service.

The Ponce St. Augustine is older, but it's kept very clean. Our king room was comfortable, had everything we needed for a weekend, and the bed was comfortable too. The pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing, and all the staff were friendly. We live only two hours away and visit for weekend getaways, so we'll definitely stay here again.

The only issue was that the Jacuzzi and bathtub were lukewarm at best, but it wasn't a big deal. The room was much cleaner than I expected, and from check-in I felt like I was getting five-star service. Everyone was so nice, with thoughtful daily texts asking if I needed anything. It's an older property, but very well kept. The historic district is about a 20-minute walk away. You have to cross a busy road, then it's a pleasant walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, from the warm welcome at the front desk to housekeeping. They made the stay feel personal. The place was affordable and clean, and the location was great. Thanks for a lovely visit.

The trains passing right by the hotel all night were the only downside, though they didn't bother us too much. Check-in was super easy, and the woman at the front desk was very nice. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. We'd definitely stay again!
