Windjammer Oceanfront Condominiums

After coming to St. Augustine for 16 years and getting married on the beach at the park there 14 years ago, we've spent a long time looking for an updated, affordable condo for a summer week. We finally found one in condo 208. Leree’ has a beautiful place and is the BEST host. It's updated and has everything you need. The beach is close and easy to access, and the intercoastal waterway with access is across the street. St. Augustine is only minutes away, with great restaurants there. We've already booked for July 2023.

You can't beat this location. The condos are right on the ocean, and although the beach is public, it feels quite private. We caught some of the best sunrises over the water, and the sunsets across the street over the Mantanza River were absolutely beautiful.

Condo 209 had plenty of room for our two couples, and it was clean, lovely, and better equipped than we expected. We enjoyed the pool almost every day, usually having it to ourselves. The condo grounds were great, too. From the balcony we watched sunrises and dolphins with coffee, then had cocktails and people-watched in the evenings. The private fishing pier was ours alone, and we fished there mornings and evenings. With the Atlantic on one side and the river inlet on the other, the sunsets were gorgeous. We drove into St. Augustine several times and spent a day on Ameila Island, about a 90-minute drive away. Getting to the beach from the garage was easy, and we kept our chairs and umbrellas in the vehicle when we weren't using them. The walk-over is the one thing I'd improve: it has two stairways down, then a sandy slope to the beach. A ramp extending farther down that slope would make it easier for anyone with mobility trouble. I didn't see another way onto Crescent beach apart from the public access, which was quite a distance away. We managed fine and had no issues, so I still gave the facility five stars, but it could have been difficult if we'd been older. You have to drive everywhere, and there are no restaurants within walking distance, but we didn't mind. Tony's Pizza was a favorite, both the sandwiches and pizza were delicious.
