Travelodge Motel of St Cloud

Nothing fancy, but it covers the important basics, and I’d be comfortable staying here again. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The desk clerk checking me in seemed completely checked out, almost rude, though.

For a low-cost night or a short trip, this is a decent choice. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean, Wi-Fi is free, and the staff are helpful. Rooms can be small, the facilities feel somewhat dated, and there’s no elevator. Travelodge by Wyndham Motel of St. Cloud is budget-friendly, especially for a one-night stay.

The price was good, and the room was quiet and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. I did notice a few electrical problems: the bathroom outlet was so worn that plugs wouldn’t stay connected, and I had to jiggle a lamp switch to turn on the light. Breakfast comes in a to-go bag.

The room was tiny, uncomfortable, and smelled awful. As soon as I opened the door, I got hit with a mix of mold and chemicals, and the smell never went away. The bed felt like a rock, the pillows like folded paper towels, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the carpet hadn’t been cleaned in years. I seriously considered sleeping in my car instead, and left feeling dirtier than when I arrived. This Travelodge is a health hazard and not fit to be called a hotel. Avoid this dump.
