The food was fantastic, and the person organizing the graduation event said she barely had to handle anything herself. She just got balloons, and the venue took care of the rest. The place looked gorgeous, with a modern feel, and the golf course outside was incredibly pretty. Everything seemed well maintained. It came across as a classy spot.

Gail, the front of house manager, came out with a few snacks and something to drink before we headed back into the storm. She really didn’t have to do that, but made sure we were looked after. We’d packed the kids, sunscreen, towels, and everything for an afternoon of swimming and snacks. Then lightning, clouds, and wind rolled in as we were unloading, and everything started closing. We went to the clubhouse for food, only to find that was closing too. It was a double whammy, but Gail’s kindness helped a lot. Whether you’re a member or just visiting on a day pass, this is a place I’d bring the family to spend time.

We love heading over on Sundays for the discounted chicken wings, $0.75, and they’re always really good. The pool is fun, and the diving board is a blast. We’ve had dinner at the restaurant a few times too and have always enjoyed it. This place has a bit of magic to it. It gets really busy in summer, especially now that everyone was kept up from COVID.

The staff are great, and Bloomington Country Club has a beautiful course. The pro shop lets it down, though. It looks like an old municipal course shop that hasn’t been updated since the 1980s.

We came to St. George for some warmth and downtime, and the Villas by the clubhouse made a lovely retreat. We didn’t golf, but there were other things to enjoy. Sitting with a gin and tonic and watching golfers finish their round in the dry, pleasant air was refreshing. The red rock panorama all around was a treat to look at.
