Amira Resort and Spa

Each time I've stayed in one of the vacation units, it's been a quiet, relaxing visit. Things are clean and well maintained, and the extra resort amenities are a plus. The back lot can be confusing, and guests end up double or quadruple parking. Arrive late on a busy weekend and finding a space may be difficult. Also, the family pool has no lights at night.

We were told we could check in at 1:30, but at 2:45 the staff were still “cleaning” and getting the room ready. The sheets were dirty, there were no sheets on the box springs, and we had no pool or hand towels. The bath towels smelled strongly of mildew. Coffee bar items looked old and dirty, the palms had overgrown all the walkways and paths, and the pool patio furniture was broken. For security, there's a huge wooden pole across the back door, just a simple chain across the front door, and the bathroom window lock was broken off. This place is so run down. Maybe it used to be a resort, but as an Airbnb it's not maintained well. We're never coming back.

Such a lovely, quiet oasis. The pools, fitness room, pickleball courts, and rooms made this a fun, memorable vacation. I love this place!

Unit 39 was dirty, with dirt on the floors and crumbs on the chairs and couch. The soap had already been used by someone else, and there was a used shampoo bottle too. Even the driveway is falling apart when you come in. I wouldn't stay there again and can't recommend it.
