Hampton Inn & Suites St. George, UT

My kids love the roomy pool and hot tub, and my husband likes that the gym has all the weights and machines he wants. The food has a great selection and tastes really good. Breakfast staff are especially sweet with my kids and offer to help when my hands are full. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful, and I enjoy chatting with whoever checks me in. The beds are comfy, the pillows are just right, and every stay has been lovely. This is my favorite hotel in the St. George area.

Breakfast was okay, though I couldn't eat the very salty sausage gravy. There was a good range of pastries and fruit, and the scrambled eggs were great, but the boiled eggs were nearly impossible to peel. The hotel is convenient to the freeway, with a new Smiths grocery store next door. Cora, the manager on duty, made check-in easy and was polite and helpful, though it was odd that she didn't mention my Diamond status. The room was clean and laid out well, with a nice couch, a useful work area, and plenty of charging ports. I appreciated having four large bath towels. The king bed was comfortable, a little firm, which I prefer, and the pillows were just right. The blackout drapes blocked almost all daylight, so I overslept. The window AC was surprisingly quiet. Water pressure and temperature were good, but the shower gel dispenser was empty. Room 401 had no alarm clock, which seemed strange. I could still hear people talking by the fireplace at night, even from the fourth floor overlooking the fire pit and hot tub. The room smelled of wet dog. I love dogs and don't mind hotels allowing pets, but separate pet-friendly and pet-free rooms might help people with allergies or those who dislike the smell. Overall it was a good stay, but of the Hilton hotels in St. George, I'd probably choose the others first.

We accidentally booked this one thinking it was the other hotel, and that turned out to be a lucky mistake. This place is much nicer and is now our preferred stay in St George. Ashley was helpful and very nice, the rooms were very clean, and the pool area was lovely. Breakfast was typical.

The room was spacious, the bathroom roomy, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was top-notch, with a waffle bar. The couch was surprisingly comfortable, but the mattress was so hard that my neck hurts. Switch those two and I'd be happy.
