Inn on the Cliff

Dinner at the restaurant was superb, and the breakfast was amazing. Everyone was genuinely friendly. We had a quiet, relaxing stay for our 35th wedding anniversary, away from the city bustle. The rooms are clean and small but nicely laid out, and the views and sunset are beautiful. There isn’t much within walking distance, which makes the place feel even more peaceful. Don’t judge the inn by its exterior, it may not look like much from outside, but it’s a lovely little gem. Highly recommend the Inn on The Cliff.

The location is quiet, set out of the way at the top of a ridge among office sites, with some light industry nearby. Rooms are reached from exterior walkways, so it’s essentially a motel. Our room was spacious, though there wasn’t much furniture. There was enough room for a small loveseat or upholstered chair, but none was provided. Breakfast could be brought to the room at a time we chose. We had it delivered the first morning and skipped it the second. It was a yogurt and berry parfait made on site, a very sweet cinnamon bun, and two packaged hard-boiled eggs, possibly Kirkland.

The restaurant was fantastic, with the best food we’ve had in years, and the staff were amazing. Kelsey went above and beyond, thank you! Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the grounds were lovely. After a day of hiking, we enjoyed the hot tub, with that beautiful view. I loved the view and the little breakfast delivery in the morning was great, too. Such a nice place!

Breakfast arrived each morning in a bento-style box: a tasty continental meal with parfait made of fruit, granola, and yogurt, plus a muffin and orange juice. Staff were friendly, parking was easy, and the hotel sits up a hill above the city. The room was clean, well appointed, modern yet cozy. We had a king room with a private balcony, #107. Our friends had something more like a suite, with a TV and sofa room, #104. The pool was warm, and the small jacuzzi at the cliff edge was lovely. The separate restaurant next door has a romantic feel and excellent food, but charges can’t be put on your hotel room. We could easily order food and bring it back, though. Definitely make a reservation. The views were spectacular. Awesome stay, and we can’t wait to return!
