Quality Inn

The old air conditioner was ancient, but it worked really well. The place met my low expectations for a 2 star hotel. Our first room was dirty, though they quickly moved us to a cleaner one with a nicer bathroom. Some bathrooms are very spacious; others are small and have no door by the sinks. The surfaces you can see are clean, but look behind furniture and you may find someone else’s socks or cobwebs. The sheets hadn’t been changed since the last guest. Walls are thin, and people were starting fights outside at midnight.

I’d have been better off sleeping in my car. Reception wouldn’t accept the coupon, and the room was disgusting. It hadn’t been prepared, there were no clean sheets, and housekeeping had pulled the used ones straight back up. The coffee maker was dirty, and there wasn’t even a cup to use. They advertised a continental breakfast that wasn’t really there, then overcharged us. I had to go through my credit card company to get the charge corrected.

I was in the area for work, helping put up a new Ace Hardware Store, and stayed here recently. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. They even serve dinner on Wednesday nights, which I haven’t seen at other hotels like this. The indoor pool is amazing. I also tried to do laundry and waited over three hours because someone’s clothes had been left in the washer and dryer. My roommate went to the desk, and the staff member had no idea whose laundry it was. She took it out, set it aside with a note, and I was finally able to wash my clothes.

The young woman at the front desk was understanding and very professional. We were on our way to Florida for work when my boss paid for a night here. In the first room, I killed two bed bugs, and there were lots of mattresses and chairs by the dumpster outside. They moved us to another room, but while we were going around the building to get there, my phone broke. Now I have to wash all my things again to make sure no bugs came with us, so this is costing me more than it should.
