Red Roof Inn St George, UT - Convention Center

We left early because of how filthy it was, and now they're refusing to refund us. The towels were dirty, there was dirt and black stuff on the walls and floor, and the floors felt sticky. The ice bucket had mold in it, and the sheets were stained. The lobby and hallways smelled like weed. I've never had a more horrific hotel stay. Look at the pictures and decide if we're being dramatic.

We got in around midnight and had just eight hours before we needed to be at the fields, but still spent an hour and a half trying to find another room nearby. Everything was full because of the tournament. We ended up moving to a hotel an hour away for the rest of our stay. The room was filthy. The door looked like it had been kicked in and patched with wood putty, and it clicked all night because it wouldn't latch. There was an inch of dust on the headboards, all the towels were stained, and the bathroom fan was hanging three inches out of the wall, covered in dirt and lint. The floor was sticky and cracked underfoot, with who knows what underneath it. In daylight, I could see more stuff splattered across the headboard. I'd have felt cleaner and safer sleeping on the sidewalk. You can see my pictures on Yelp.

For a late stop on my road trip, this worked out really well. I got there around 2AM, and the area felt safe. The desk was still open, the staff were friendly, and check-in took almost no time. The room was a little dated, but the bed was clean and the shower was nice and warm. I didn't need anything else, especially at that great price.

We spent three days here as a family and loved it. The location was great, quiet, and not busy. Staff were helpful and gave us great customer service, from check-in through checkout. I forgot something when we left, and they helped me retrieve it. Come stay here if you want somewhere relaxing and quiet.
