The bed was the worst part, incredibly uncomfortable, with only a sheet on top and very old pillows. The towels were crunchy and sticky, the tile was filthy, and when I wiped bathroom water up, the towel came away black. The carpets felt damp and sticky too. The place seems to be cared for without any integrity. Our balcony door wouldn't open, and the wall-mounted hair dryer was missing its safety screen backing. It sucked up my hair and burned and ripped out a good chunk. At checkout, another guest was complaining too, and I doubt my feedback will get attention. This wasn't even cheap, and the rooms are gross. Not worth staying here.

The price is worthwhile, breakfast was adequate, the internet worked, the pool was nice, and the staff were helpful. It's an older inn that's been remodeled several times, though not run down. The worn floor outside the second-floor rooms hangs at a noticeable angle, enough that a dropped round object would roll off quickly, so it needs repair. It's been there a long time, so I don't expect it to fall over soon, but know what to expect. We lost power at night and had no AC for a few hours while the electric company worked. All rooms were affected. We were offered cool drinks, and I'm told this had never happened before. Enjoy the stay and the price.

We felt safe here, and our first-floor room was right beside our vehicles. The lot was clean, bright, and roomy enough for a 16-foot U-haul truck, which you don’t always get at a small motel. The palm trees and big pool gave the place a welcoming feel and reminded us of California. I’d called ahead to say we’d arrive late on New Year’s morning, and the manager was kind about it even at 3:00 AM. She patiently answered my questions and clearly explained checkout. After a long drive with kids, being allowed to sleep in and leave closer to noon was a real help. The bathroom floor was the letdown. There were hairs in several places and it looked like it hadn’t been mopped that morning. After walking around for a while, our feet and the kids’ feet had turned dark, which felt pretty gross. Housekeeping seemed a little short-staffed, at least for our room. This is just based on this visit, since I don’t know what the motel is usually like.

Our first stay was in one of the suites, and we really liked it: comfortable and spacious for the price. We came back with friends visiting St George for the first time, expecting the regular rooms to be much the same. They weren’t. It seems to depend on which room you get. The room above the office was cramped, oddly laid out, and barely cooled by the AC. Staff were smoking by the stairs despite the sign saying no smoking within 25 feet of the office, and the smoke got pulled through the AC into our room. After that stay, I’m not sure we’d come back. What a bummer.

We paid a reasonable price for a basic place, and it was nice enough. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and there was plenty of storage, though the bed wasn’t especially comfortable. Breakfast was limited to fruit, waffle mix, two cereals, and oatmeal packets. The small pool was clean and open. The day we arrived, wind had knocked out the cable. The channel selection looked good, though, if it had been working. There’s no printing office, conference room, or lobby seating, just a very basic front desk. It’s near downtown St George, but farther from the highway and the shopping or state and national parks people might be heading to. Those aren’t too far away, but they’re not walkable.
