Wydown Hotel

I was in town for business but managed to fit in some leisure, and everything is right around this place. Shops and restaurants are to either side, and wine tasting heaven is 15 minutes away. Highly recommend. Kara at the front desk, Rossy in housekeeping, and Vicky/Becky on the breakfast staff made the stay really enjoyable. They were personable, kind, professional, and helpful. There's no gym on site, but guests get free access to the Spa and fitness center, which has an eucalyptus sauna, pool, steam rooms, and a nice gym. I was 110% satisfied and will be back for a leisure stay!

The location was perfect, surrounded by wineries and within walking distance of incredible restaurants. We loved the delicious breakfast and evening cookies, and the staff were lovely. The Wydown itself is beautiful, with clean, spacious rooms. Can't wait to come back!

We arrived before the 3 pm check-in, but our room was ready at 12:30. The room was clean and tidy, with very nice toiletries, and there was sheltered parking behind the hotel. The staff across the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast bar provided great service. This small boutique hotel is a gem. Its Main Street location is convenient for shops and eateries, but away from the noise and crowds. St Helena is also a nice base for exploring other parts of Napa Valley. We wanted to stay longer, but they were fully booked. Now I see why.

The shower water never got very hot, and breakfast felt a bit limited. It could maybe get you through until an early lunch, but didn't offer many protein or healthy choices. Other than those issues, I'd stay again. The hotel and room were incredibly clean and quiet, and the front desk gal was so nice and helpful. She made dinner reservations for that night and noticed it was my birthday, then brought champagne to our room. We stayed two nights with my husband during a recent Napa Valley visit. I loved being able to walk to shops, restaurants, and other conveniences, with great wineries also a short drive away.
