Best Western Harbour Pointe Lakefront

The breakfast was great, the room was spotless, and the water view was wonderful. The front desk people were awesome too. During the day, an older man gives guests rides in a golf cart so they don't have to walk. He's priceless, so sweet, and really looks out for everyone staying there. We'll definitely be back!

The firepit and s'mores were a fun surprise, and we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The rooms were clean and stylish, though bring your own conditioner, body wash, and similar toiletries. It feels like a motel that's been remodeled. The place is huge, with four blocks named Huron, Michigan, Ontario, and Superior, which is very cute. It's close to the ferry dock, with free pickup and drop-off. The lake view was wonderful, and we saw the best sunrise of our lives. Breakfast was good too.

Beautiful setting, lots of nice amenities, and a fantastic breakfast included with the stay.

The suite we booked for the weekend had a great view, but we waited an hour and a half for the room to be cleaned. My mom asked at the start and end of the stay about compensation. She was told Angela, the manager, would help and call back, but Angela never did. Mom called every day for a week, spent time on hold, and got hung up on. The hotel told her to open a ticket with corporate, but corporate said only the manager could help. They wasted her time first with the room delay, then with trying to sort it out. We paid over $1000 for the weekend, and the customer service was rude and disrespectful, with no accommodation, accountability, or apology. They falsely claimed we waited only 20 minutes. When I called on Mom's behalf, Angela said $500 had been credited to our card after the complaint ticket, but it never appeared. They also said they'd emailed the details, which wasn't true. No one called to confirm we'd received this supposed refund. Angela took my information when I asked her to email the receipt, but never sent it. The phone manner was poor too: they answered with only “hello,” ended calls without asking if we had other questions, and didn't even say “have a nice day.” There was no warmth or welcome. Hotels should have service standards, but they need a lot of work in that department. We'd never spend our time or money at Best Western again, especially not this place. Very disappointing.
