I've been at Steelyard Apartments in Soulard for almost a year, and I'm happy here enough to renew for another year. It's peaceful and comfortable while still being close to downtown, Soulard restaurants, and highways. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to, maintenance responds quickly when I need something, and the gym, parking garage, and community spaces are all big pluses.

The complex gets 4 stars from me because the walls are thin. You can hear neighbors when they're speaking above a respectfully conversational murmur. Kim, though, gets 5 stars, hands down. She's the sweetest and most helpful.

My move-in was seamless, and the staff have been friendly and helpful. The location is great, and choosing this place was the best decision. The property manager Kim is amazing. Highly recommend!

The apartments themselves are nice, but this is the worst place in STL. The hallways, stair area, and elevator are so dirty, and they never clean the hallway carpet. Your car will literally get broken into every day, and they won't do anything about it. Make sure you have cameras in your apartment, because leasing manager Jessica T. and the older maintenance man will enter unexpectedly and go through your things. Jessica T. is rude and unprofessional. You're welcome.
