Parking was the only downside. The spaces in front of the property fill up quickly, and the garage is a few blocks away. That was disclosed in the listing, though, so it wasn’t a big deal as long as you plan ahead. The house is peaceful and beautiful, with lovely historic character. Our room had everything we needed and more, including full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash rather than tiny motel bottles. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I had two of the best nights of sleep in a while and am ordering the same pillows for home. I loved the kitchen wallpaper and the accent chair, too. We’ll definitely book again. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.

They keep taking down our negative reviews. The first one was only three stars because parking was fifteen minutes away and there was absolutely no housekeeping. It was practically impossible to get the things we needed. Deleting our reviews is extremely poor.

This 120-year-old building has been converted into apartments, and I loved the place overall. The hardwood floors are beautiful, there’s a full kitchen, and the location is great for SLU and sports. But the customer service was seriously bad at communicating and could use some professional training.

The White House was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. I’m a light sleeper and had no trouble sleeping there at all. The garage is about a 15-minute walk away, but there’s plenty of free street parking nearby from 7pm-7am. I’d absolutely stay again.

For the same price, I’d much rather stay here than in a hotel. It’s full of history and character, and the shops are an easy walk away.
