The Inn on Third

The Inn On Third has a lovely boutique atmosphere, with tasteful decor and a stylish, cozy feel. It’s in a great location, but still peaceful and quiet when it’s time to rest. The large parking lot is a real plus if you’re driving. The people there made me feel like I was staying with old friends. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

The inn is close to popular attractions, whether you walk or take the trolley. It was well cared for by the current Innkeepers, and the room was clean with the essentials provided, including a portable hair dryer that came in handy since I’d forgotten mine. There was a fridge and TV in the room. I would have liked a microwave there too, though there was a shared one in the hallway. I stayed two nights and enjoyed the cozy feel and the building’s 1930s and 1940s character. They provided a nice continental breakfast and wine reception. I’d recommend it to people who appreciate good value and good karma.

Everything was clean, attractive, and well maintained, even if the amenities aren’t brand new. The location’s great too, close to lots of restaurants, bars, Dali’s Museum, and more. Brian and his family own the place, and they’re super nice. Brian speaks English, Spanish, and German, maybe more, and they really make you feel at home. My only quibble was the TV size, but honestly, if you’re planning to watch TV on vacation in a place like this, something’s wrong with you.

This inn is adorable, with a New England small-town feel that doesn’t seem very Florida. The Christmas decorations in the lobby were so cute, and the place felt like stepping back in time. You can tell it’s family run from the care they put into it. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly, and the happy hour and continental breakfast were nice extras. The rooms are small, as you’d expect in an older building, but had what we needed and were worth the price. Many attractions are walkable, and other places are a short, cheap Uber ride away. We really enjoyed the stay, would recommend it, and would book again.
