Staybridge Suites Quantico-Stafford by IHG

The staff are what keep bringing us back. My company uses this place when we work at the base, and Sheria (I hope I spelled it correctly) welcomed us so genuinely on our first visit. He’s helped me find a delivered package and a remote I’d left behind, and he points me toward things to do around town. Even when an issue was mine, he took responsibility, apologized, and helped me figure it out. Breakfast now starts at 6:30, which is no big deal. It’s very good, and the woman serving it is super nice and on top of things. We appreciate all of you!

We were counting on breakfast before heading out, but at 7:45 they’d only just brought out the eggs. Everyone was waiting, and the hot food wasn’t ready on time. We had places to go and stayed there because breakfast was supposed to be available. It’s advertised for 7, so if they can’t get help in on time, they should say 8 instead. I’ve seen other reviews mention the weed smell and late breakfast too, so this doesn’t seem like a one-off. The smell was everywhere, in the halls, the elevator, and again when we came out of our room in the morning. The room was large, but the TV was in a weird spot on the wall beside the beds. It pivots, but that doesn’t really fix the placement. The weed smell and very late breakfast are deal breakers for me. I’d skip this place next time.

My family and I stayed for quite a while, and leaving felt like saying goodbye to family. You don’t get that feeling at many places. The staff were great. If you need an extended stay, this is definitely the place to go.

The woman serving breakfast was kind and professional, and she was the only staff member who gave me genuinely friendly service. The food itself was cold. Check-in also got off to a poor start, with no greeting or thanks for my Silver Member status. Although the hotel looks very nice after the renovation, the room didn’t live up to it. The mattress was old, sagging, and had a noticeable dip, so sleeping was difficult. The sofa bed had visible stains and hadn’t been made up. I had to go downstairs to ask for bedding. I checked out around 10:40 a.m. but never got a confirmation or receipt. When I looked at my account, it showed that checkout hadn’t been processed, so I had to call the hotel to make sure I wouldn’t be charged a late checkout fee. Staybridge is usually one of my preferred hotel brands, which made this especially disappointing. I don’t recommend this location and won’t stay here again.
