Best Western Cypress Inn & Suites

The front desk people were nice, but the hotel was far too dirty for me to consider spending a night. The building is falling apart, so watch your step on the way to your room. I could have tripped over the broken floor and hurt myself. The jacuzzi was out of order, with cones beside it. In the first room, I found a syringe needle in the sofa and asked for another room. There was no needle in the second one, but it was filthy too. The couch had actual pieces of bread on it, not crumbs, and the floor and walls were dirty. I found a hairball on the restroom sink countertop. Mattresses and desk chairs were taking up a lot of the parking area. You’d be better off sleeping in the dirt outside. Stay away, never stay here.

The beds are new and very comfortable, and the room had a mini fridge and microwave. They’re working on remodeling, since the place needs it. My room smelled a bit moldy, the furniture needs updating, and the carpet should be taken out. The TV channels were awful too. Still, it wasn’t horrible, just okay for a stay.

The room was bigger than I expected, with a large king bed, a couch area, and a desk space. I also really liked the updated bathroom and the fact that they honored my privacy requests. The staff were friendly, prices decent, and I liked having interior access to the rooms.

We needed three rooms for my family, and the rates were the best around. The first impression was regal, thanks to the glossy floors in the ground-floor hallway. The rooms were adequate and clean. Upstairs, the carpet looked dirty, though there was no odor. I’d keep staying here.
