It was okay and quiet, and there's a Circle K across the street. But each time I used card 1, I had to go to the office. If hotels were perfect, we'd all live in them.

We paid $83 through an app for a deluxe one-bed room with a jacuzzi, but the man at the desk said his computer showed something else. He asked for the confirmation number and code, then said they were wrong. He wouldn't enter the numbers from our confirmation email or show us his screen. After making excuses, he gave us the opposite of what we'd booked. He was very rude and kept interrupting me. My husband and I don't recommend this hotel.

Waldo is a great hometown city, and this is my cheaper go-to around here. I love the place, but at 8 the cleaning lady banged on my door and woke me up to ask if I was staying another night. She should've checked the docket. I was sleeping and just wanted to rest.

We were evacuating because of a hurricane and had nowhere else to go. Otherwise, I would've turned around and left. The booking process felt shady: no confirmation by email or text, and nobody answered when I called the next day, even though we had a three-hour drive. Corporate couldn't find a reservation under my name or number. My husband and I kept calling until someone finally confirmed it, then sent an email that still seemed sketchy. We went ahead because we had no choice. When we arrived, nobody was in the office, so we waited for someone to come check us in. The room was tiny and nothing like the online pictures. We were constantly scooting around each other. There were cigarette burns on the chairs and bed coverings, and the smell was so bad I bought a candle to cover it up. At night, we found tons of German and Australian roaches in the bathroom. They offered to spray, but since we had kids and dogs, all they gave us was one dollar general roach trap. There was a huge hole at the bottom of the bathroom door, as if a dog had tried to chew its way out. The shower barely trickled even with the water turned all the way on. I wish I could get my money back. It was the worst stay I've ever had. We came to get away from the hurricane, but by the end we were ready to evacuate home. I wish I could give it no stars.
