Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel Casino

The room's AC barely worked. You could set it to 69°F, but it would climb to 78°F because it was controlled centrally. We ended up in a hot, stuffy room all night. We were also right by the elevator. I asked the receptionist before checking in if we could switch rooms because of the noise. She went to speak with the manager, then came back with three earplugs. That was their answer, and it felt ridiculous and insulting. The property felt like a construction site, with major areas being worked on, noise and dust, and an unpleasant atmosphere. None of that had been made clear when booking. The pool, gym, and main floor casino were all closed, so we were paying resort prices without the resort features. We had an awful stay at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe and would strongly recommend staying somewhere else. It felt like a mess and wildly overpriced in its current state. There are plenty of better options nearby that are actually open, functional, and reasonably priced. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay far away.

The manager refunded the room, which I appreciated, but I was taken aback when I asked about complaints and heard, “There’s always that one couple.” The front desk had already acknowledged frequent complaints about the club noise. If you need sleep, don't stay here. We had to leave at 12:30 AM and drive two hours home over the summit in the middle of the night. No guest should have to do that after booking a hotel. The suite was beautiful, modern, clean, and one of the nicest rooms we've stayed in. We also had a great dinner at the Sage Room, so the evening started out well. Then around 9:00 PM, pounding bass and drumming from a nearby nightclub started up. We were on the 10th floor of 12, and it still felt like the music was inside the room. We called security around 10:00 PM and were told it would probably stop around 11:30 or 11:45. It didn't. When we called again, we got conflicting accounts of where the sound was coming from and changing estimates for when it might end, but no solution. After hours of nonstop noise, we checked out.

Reflections Spa was the perfect place to unwind, and the massage was incredible. The housekeeping team kept everything immaculate and comfortable throughout our stay, though I wish I could remember all their names. Kathy Paresa, the VIP Coordinator, made us feel so valued and cared for with her thoughtful touches and attention to detail. Juan went above and beyond, Gary the chauffeur was friendly and professional, and Matias made us feel at home as soon as we checked in. Thanks to all of them, we had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and celebrated my husband’s birthday in a way we'll remember. We can't wait to return to Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe.

The hotel stay was great, though I deeply resent being charged for parking when I book a room just because I'm not a high-level rewards member. If I'm paying for the room, shouldn't parking be free? In January 2026, the main Casino Floor was undergoing extensive renovations, so I went across the street to play. If you have players rewards, claim them at a kiosk in the casino where you plan to play. This is probably the best of the big resorts in South Lake, and once the remodeling is done, I think CR will be a great place to stay and play.
