The staff were courteous and professional, and the room was very clean. It’s dated and not plush, but had everything we needed and was better than some brand-name hotels. The location also makes it easy to get around town. There’s no gym on site, though a recreation center with a full gym is across a fairly busy road. A coffee and snack area is by the front desk, but guests can’t cross the cordon to use the machine. You have to ask staff to get coffee, which isn’t convenient. The desk closes around 7:30 p.m., sometimes earlier, and a simple breakfast is offered only on Saturday mornings. The sauna and Jacuzzi area was very clean, but staff have to let you in. Each building has one small, slow elevator. The laundry room has three washers and three dryers, free for guests, but two washers were out of order during our weeklong stay. Fortunately, there’s a clean Laundromat about a five-minute walk away. My one suggestion is to provide an after-hours phone number for emergencies. All in all, I’d definitely stay again.

We found the property quiet, with excellent customer service from the staff, plenty of parking, and a spa and sauna. There are also barbecue pits and ice machines in the hallways, and the rooms are clean with all the amenities you could need. The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing sits among a small grove of trees just off Highway 50, only two or three blocks from Harrahs Casino and hotel. It’s a perfect place to stay when visiting South Lake Tahoe California.

The lodge itself was clean and nice, with an old-fashioned feel and beautiful views. The desk staff seemed to have a rude manner, though. We asked a couple of simple questions and the woman acted like we were bothering her.

We were close to the event center we came for, and had a decent view from our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our clean, spacious room felt more like a small apartment, with separate areas and dishes, pots, and pans. Bring your own groceries.

Loved our stay. The room was amazing, the staff were great, and there was a full breakfast. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed!
