Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sainte Genevieve

I felt safe and slept comfortably in this quiet area, where there wasn’t much traffic at night. You need your key card to get into the lobby after hours, which helped me feel secure. If you arrive after hours to check in, there’s a phone on the wall to call the desk. The building was a little hard to spot in the dark because of its location, but not too bad. The room, lobby, hallway, and parking lot were all very clean, and the room price was good. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was included, though basic, with muffins, oatmeal, and bagels. Small things: there was no hand soap by the sink, but I bring my own, and the walls are thin. I could hear the neighbor snoring, though he was a loud snorer and I probably would have heard him anyway. Bring snacks and drinks. There are vending machines in the lobby, but not much nearby. I saw three food options: Domino’s in the shopping center, a tiny Mexican restaurant with really good food, and canned items at Dollar Tree. There are a few good restaurants about 30 minutes away, or five minutes down a winding road by Moses Austin Park (72 S Gabouri st.), but most close early. All in all, 11/10. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
