A few maintenance issues still hadn’t been handled by the property manager, and parking is limited. The condo itself is very nice and conveniently located.

There’s even a sauna in the room, which we used to dry our ski clothes. The rooms have an 1980s look, but they’re comfortable, and the pool and hot tub are nice for kids. The staff is very accommodating. The shuttle is handy, though it can get overcrowded at peak times.

The free towels by the pool were handy, though if staff saw you at the outdoor hot tubs, they’d stop bringing towels out. The hot tubs were great, as were the free gas BBQs, the fireplace in the room, and the front desk service. There was happy hour on Mondays and Fridays. The free shuttle made getting around town so easy: it dropped us off and picked us up, and I never waited more than six minutes. Great with kids, too. The town had plenty of restaurants and good food, much like Breckenridge. The mountain was really good. It snowed 56 in in 3 days. This was January 18th 2019. I was kind of disappointed they gave me only 5 days on my icon base pass. We planned to return in March as a family of four, but now we have to go to another mountain on the pass. It was a great experience overall, and Strawberry Hot Springs is well worth trying.

I’ve only stayed here in winter, but Trappeurs is a great place to visit in Steamboat, close to the ski area base. During operating hours there’s a free shuttle that runs continuously, and an on-call shuttle goes to restaurants and other places around town until 10:30 pm. Friends of mine own units here, and the several I’ve rented have all been very nice. Great pool and amenities.
