Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs by IHG

Robert made check-in easy and was so friendly. Whenever I came back from town, he'd wave, and he quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The public spaces and rooms were clean, and the pool and large hot tub were great. The Gondola was only a few minutes away, with frequent ski shuttles.

Whiskey, the hotel's playful fetch-loving doorman and canine, is a favorite. The hotel is clean, cozy, comfortable, and dog friendly. Getting to downtown or the ski resort by car or bus is easy, and you can arrange to be picked up at the hotel for a trip to Strawberry Hot Springs. The front desk team is always welcoming and ready with local tips. Chris, Tammy, Keenan, Robert, and Piero have all greeted us with smiles on our visits.

The shuttle made getting to the mountain base convenient, though it didn't go downtown. The bus ride into town took longer than it had on our previous visits. We usually come to steamboat and this was our first stay at this holiday inn. Robert gave us great service at check-in and whenever we came through the lobby at night. Breakfast vouchers for Harrison’s next door were a huge bonus, and I'd recommend breakfast there even without one. We had a great stay.

I felt welcome and safe, and slept really well in the comfortable bed and pillows despite my bad back. The room was clean, with a good view. I liked the Dove toiletries, Keurig with a few k-cups and tea bags, mini fridge, and handy outlets by the bed. I think there was a microwave, but can't quite remember. My niece tried the hair dryer and it worked fine. Snacks and drinks are sold in the lobby. Parking costs $10 a night, which I expected in a tourist town, and the friendly front desk staff told us where to park closest to our room without being asked. Sinclair, another gas station, and Walgreens are all within two minutes. I usually stay at Marriotts, but I'll be more likely to book Holiday Inn now.
