Time Flys Lodge

The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Front desk service was excellent, though it got a little loud at night. Still, it’s a great place for a couple of nights, and we’ll come back for a night or two.

The heater warmed the room quickly, and the hot water was very hot. That’s about the only good thing I can say, though. There was no coffee in the room. The rooms felt dated and awkwardly laid out, with oversized furniture that made it hard to squeeze past each other. The parking spaces were tiny, and I was charged for parking after checkout. The shower was awful, barely more than a light rain. There was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, very little space at the vanity, and no towel hooks. The fridge barely kept things cool, and the hot tub wasn’t working, but I was charged for it too. There’s little space, little comfort, and too many extra fees.

The suite was huge, and the king bed and bedding were super comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too. We were traveling from CA to CO by car and stayed for one night with our dog. It’s a great motor lodge. The outside isn’t fancy, but the rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely equipped, and decorated in a mountain style with wood upholstered furniture.

We’ve stayed at The Nordic Lodge twice, and both visits were great. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and it’s right downtown Steamboat Springs, so local restaurants and shops are within walking distance. It’s become our annual Fall stay. The one letdown both times was that the heated pool wasn’t very warm.
