The owners made the stay feel personal and welcoming. They shared tips for good places to eat and where we might spot moose, and even helped us get a fire going. We're from Massachusetts and will definitely be back. The price was outstanding for the experience, and the whole stay felt unforgettable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up in a quiet, peaceful spot close to town. There are beautiful winding roads and plenty of outdoor options nearby, including hiking and riding trails, a stunning waterfall, and a pond where you can swim and access kayaks.

We're from PA and hadn't been around here before. The owners showed us their huge property and how to reach trails from the cabins on our snowmobiles. We stayed in both the cabins and their other house in Colebrook, and everything was very clean and nice. The property is stunning, and the hosts' hospitality was the best I've ever experienced. They worked hard and went above and beyond for us. We'll definitely come back and recommend a stay here. Thanks!

Carl and Tami were the most hospitable cabin owners I've dealt with by far. When we arrived for our snowmobile trip, Carl showed us the cabin and where everything was, then carefully explained the route to the main snowmobile trail so we wouldn't get lost. On the morning we left, my truck wouldn't start, and Carl lent me his tools, heater, jump pack, and extension cords to get it going. The cabins are a great value for what they are, and I'll stay at Ladd Pond again.

We won't be coming back, and I can't recommend staying here. We expected basic cleanliness, safety, and an accurate description, even for a campground cabin. I don't expect luxury, but this stay fell short on all three. The overcharge was the last straw: we were billed for two nights instead of one. Before arriving, we called to confirm one night, two cabins, and four beds, especially after the confirmation text we were promised never arrived. When we raised the billing mistake, the campground refused to fix THEIR mistake. We had tried to sort this out directly and I would have let everything go and simply not returned if they'd corrected the bill. Both cabins were booked for one night each, with two beds in each, which we specifically confirmed because our group had four men and one woman. Wolf Den had a queen and a pull-out bed, but the other cabin only had a queen. One person had to sleep on the floor. The condition of the cabins was also poor. When I arrived, there was a dead mouse floating in the toilet. I know we were in the woods, so I flushed it. Then the mice showed up for an all-nighter: we heard scratching and running around, and saw a few dart past. There was mouse poop on the bathroom floor and in the main area. It's gross to imagine walking in it and getting into bed without knowing. I had socks on, and that's how I found out. The toilet seat was worn through, clearly unsanitary, and unsafe. It was too big for the bowl and shifted hard when you sat down. The bed was worn and lumpy, sloping inward so much that it was difficult to sleep.
