The Stockbridge Country Inn Closest B&B to Norman Rockwell Museum and Chesterwood

The Inn was lovely, clean, and beautifully furnished, and Diane and Julia made us feel welcome. The two highlights were the bed and the delicious breakfast, especially the homemade blueberry muffins. Highly recommended.

We came to the Berkshires for an event, but bad weather canceled it. The Inn still made the trip worthwhile. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated, especially for the holidays, and breakfast was a wonderful home-cooked meal. Best of all, the innkeepers were warm and welcoming. We plan to return sometime in the New Year.

We spent an early October weekend at Stockbridge Country Inn for our 30th anniversary and had a lovely time. Diane, the owner, is cheerful, friendly, and full of information. The vintage inn is charming and beautifully furnished, and everything looked spotless to me. We stayed in the Stockbridge Suite, which was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets amazingly soft, and the huge bathroom had plenty of soft towels. It’s a short drive to downtown Stockbridge and just down the road from Rockwell Museum. We also went to Lenox and Lee, with all the drives through beautiful countryside and relatively short. We’d happily stay here again. A couple of practical notes: there aren’t sidewalks or walking trails right by the Inn. To reach the back roads, you’ll need to walk a bit along a road that can be somewhat busy, though traffic is light and it’s quiet. Breakfast is at 9 a.m., which could be late if you’re used to getting up at 6:30 or 7:00. The shower pressure was good, but I couldn’t get the shower heads to a full spray, and they could use an update.

Diane made us feel right at home during a perfect holiday weekend at the Stockbridge Country Inn. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfasts were incredible, made to order and nothing like the usual B&B fare. We’re already thinking about a return in the summer.
